Visitor Information Center

Thinking of visiting our lovely city ? There is so much to see and do here !  No matter where you call home, we are easy to find. We're confident you'll want to visit us often to explore our treasures.

Your first stop should be the La Grange Welcome Center.

We are rehabilitating a historic building to serve as a Visitor's Welcome Center, to be located on Poplar Alley, parallel and north of Main Street between Highway 53 and Walnut Street. When completed, it will house the offices of the Main Street Project.

The Welcome Center will have handicap accessible public restrooms and historical information about the City. Visitors will soon be able to learn the history of our town and learn about our community's heritage and roots in the transportation system.ange Welcome Center.his project will entail the total rehabilitation of an 875 square foot house that is listed on the National Historic Registry as contributing to the La Grange Historic Distric. The house was donated to the City of La Grange by Oldham County a few years ago and was moved to the Historic District. It will be located near the CSX railroad tracks, which run between Cincinnati and Louisville.

After stopping by our new Visitor's Center, there are many other sites and points of interest to see in the City.

You should also consider stopping in at the Oldham County Historical Society. They are located at 106 North Second Avenue, La Grange, KY 40031 and can be reached at (502) 222-0826. You can also visit their website at http://www.oldhamcountyhistoricalsociety.org/
